Rose Deshetler Smolinski

Rose DeShetler Smolinski, age 96, of Toledo, passed away in the home of her niece, Carmen Peter Zwiefel. She was born on April 9, 1915 in Toledo to Michael and Anna Schmidlin Blase. Rose attended Raymer Elementary School and Waite High School. The widow of Jack DeShetler and Julius Smolinski she was also preceded in death by her sons, Jack and Wayne DeShetler and grandson, Joseph. Surviving is her daughter-in-law, JoAnne DeShetler of San Jose, CA.; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; special nephew, Charles Judy Shumaker and other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, February 17, in the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey after 12:30 PM where funeral services will follow at 1:30 PM.
