Rose Skinner, 84 of Oak Harbor, died Sunday, March 8, 2009, in Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor surrounded by her daughter Marsha and son-in-law, Bob. She was born December 27, 1924, in Carroll Township to Reuben and Beatrice Cover St. Clair. On August 12, 1948, in Port Clinton, Ohio, she married Robert M. Skinner, who preceded her in death May 12, 1984. Rose worked at Standard Products in Port Clinton for many years. She also worked at Lays Fish Co. in Port Clinton and Erie Army Depot. Rose was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Port Clinton, the Oak Harbor American Legion Auxiliary, AARP, and the Moose Lodge in Port Clinton. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, but especially enjoyed her family and telling jokes. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Robert Adkins, foster daughter, Kimberely Moffitt, both of Oak Harbor, grandchildren, Daniel and Matthew Adkins, foster granddaughter, Natalie Cook, and 3 great granddaughters: Shelby Adkins, Reese Adkins, and Claire Adkins, great grandson: Noah Adkins, nieces and nephews, and all those friends who knew her as Aunt Rose. Rose is also survived by her dog Baby. Her parents, sisters, brothers, husband, and son, Reuben Dick, preceded her in death. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 2-8 p.m., with family present from 2- 4 & 6-8 p.m., in Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 12, 2009 in the funeral home with interment to follow in Rusha Cemetery, Oak Harbor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Rose may be given to the family.
