Rose R. Mockensturm

Rose R. (Ronau) Mockensturm, 93, of Perrysburg, formerly of Maumee, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025. She was born in Toledo on January 16, 1932, to Henry and Anna (Wise) Ronau. Rose was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She loved crafting, playing bingo, dominating card games, and cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events. She was a long-time volunteer at the Perrysburg Senior Center where she led many committees and groups. Rose loved sipping coffee and catching up with old friends and always looked forward to her monthly lunch “meetings” with her nieces.

Rose is survived by her children, John “Mike” (Karen) Mockensturm, Robert Mockensturm (Debbie), Linda Sellers; grandchildren, Michael Mockensturm, Heather (Tia) Buckner, Steven (Lyndsey) Sellers, Maggie Mockensturm, Courtney (Mike) Smith; great-grandchildren, Xzavier, Cameron, Sterling, Austin; many extended family members; and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings; and son-in-law, Gary Sellers.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, beginning at 11 a.m., until the time of Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m. at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, OH 43537. Burial will be private. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Southern Care Hospice for all their loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sidecut Park, Perrysburg Senior Center, or to the Alzheimer's Association.
