Rose Marie Patricia Harris

Rose Marie Patricia Harris, 74, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 03, 2009, at her daughters home. She was born January 18, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Frank and Gertrude Lake Solarek. Over 50 years ago she married Bernard W. Harris, Sr. in Angola, Indiana, and he preceded her in death September 16, 1998. Rose worked a long side her husband over 25 years for Harris & Sons Cleaning Company. She was a member of the ORYC, Arrow Club, and the American Legion Post. Rose was a huge advocate for Cerebral Palsy. She loved shopping, playing cards, arts and crafts, and her flowers. Rose especially loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her son, Bernard W. Harris, Jr., daughter, Sherry A. Bruce Harris, grandchildren, Tracylynn Jeffery Davis, Raymond E. Karnes, Brian A. Karnes, Rebecca R. Chad Cochran, Luke H. Harris, Jason A. Valerie Karnes, Cristian D. Caroline Karnes and Jennifer L. Charles Averitt, great grandchildren, Randie, Cheyenne, Vega, Tristian, Travis, Thomas, Andrew, Ryan, Sean, Keven, Kyle, Kelly and Tyler. She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Robert Helen Solarek, Patricia Clugston, JoAnn Don Korecki, Sandra Heffner and Mary Ann Collum, and sister-in-law, Loni Jack McLaughlin. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bernard W. Harris, Sr., son, Randy S. Harris, brothers, Daniel Solarek and Melvin Solarek, and sister, Theresa Ramariz. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Thursday, August 06, 2009, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Genoa. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 07, 2009, in the funeral home followed by interment in Restlawn Cemetery, Perrysburg. Memorials for Rose may be given to the Christian Fellowship of Toledo.
