Rose A. Slovak-Kettinger, 87, of Millbury, died Sunday August 26, 2007, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Rose was born April 19, 1920, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Joseph and Antoinette Kotrejch Teplik. On May 25, 1940, Rose married her first husband, Joseph Slovak in Cleveland, OH, and in 1988 he preceded her in death. In Genoa, OH, on August 6, 1993, Rose married her second husband, Kenneth Kettinger, and he survives. For 17 years Rose was a basket weaver for the former Ottawa Basket Factory before retiring in 1972. She was also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of Millbury, daughter, Elaine Larry Hermes of Curtice, OH, sons, Joseph Irene Slovak of Santa Fe, TX, and James Cathy Slovak of Genoa, OH; grandchildren, Julie Karl Voelkel, Sister Marie Sabina O.P., Michelle Scott Smith, and Laura Slovak; 3 great grandchildren; step-daughters, Theresa Tim Mizer of Cadiz, OH, and Mary Beth Danny Thomas of LaSalle, MI, step-son, Edward Kettinger of Millbury, OH; step grandchildren, Julie Ryan Powell, Katherine Michael Buckley, and Andrew and Matthew Mizer; and 1 step great granddaughter. Rose was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Teplik, and sister, Mary Harbal.Visitation will be 2- 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2007, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Genoa. A funeral mass will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa, OH. Interment will take place in Clay Township Cemetery. Contributions in Rose
