Rose M. Harris

Rose M. (Case) Harris passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on February 16, 2020 at Genoa Care Center. Rose is survived by Ben, her loving husband of 68 years; Son, James (Dianne) Harris; Daughter Jeanne (Tim) Davies; Grandchildren, Jennifer (Matthew) Widmer, Sarah (Clifton) Millimen, Timothy (Amanda) Davies, Rebekah (Jacob) Schwab, and Benjamin (Stephanie) Davies; and 15 Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wanzor Case and Nellie (Baroff) Case; and siblings, Ralph Case, Hazel Muetzel, Lloyd Case, and Wanda Welch. Rose was born on October 24, 1933, in Toledo, OH. She was a graduate of Whitney Vocational High School. On December 24, 1951, she married Benjamin Harris, whom she loved from the moment she saw him. She recounted often how she had told him that she was going to marry him. Rose was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and housekeeper. Even the grandchildren knew “not to touch the walls!” She was always game to wash dishes, whether it be for Jeanne, her daughter raising 5 kids, or on Christmas Cookie day where the baking dishes abounded. Rose was a wonderful cook whose lasagna was second to none. Rose was also devoted to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She daily covered her family and friends in prayer. She knew the saving and healing power of Jesus and never hesitated to storm heaven for it. Because of this, Rose was kind, grateful, and encouraging. She always had a kind word for those she saw. The nurses and aides at Genoa Care Center could count on her saying, “Thank You,” “You’re so beautiful/handsome,” and “I love you,” whenever she saw them. Memorial services will be March 7, 2020 at Apostolic Restoration Center, 303 W. 4th St, Genoa, OH 43430. Visitation will begin at 10:00am with a memorial service beginning at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Apostolic Restoration Center. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West Street, Genoa, Ohio, assisted the family in arrangements.
