Rose Teresa Givens

Rose Teresa Givens, age 88, of Toledo passed away Wednesday December 2, 2009 at the Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek. She was born January 17, 1921 in Toledo to Felix and Helen Nowak. Rose was a Ward Secretary at the former Riverside Hospital for 291/2 years retiring in 1981. She enjoyed reading and bowling where she was a member of the Riverside Hospital Employee bowling league. Preceded in death by daughter-in-law Rosalinda Givens; sister, Irene Dymarkowski; and brother, Richard Nowak; she is survived by her husband of 68 years, Sterling; sons, David Gerri Givens and Jon Givens; daughter, Janet Tom Jacobs; grandchildren, Julie Brian Shook, Deborah Marc Miller, Denise Givens, Cynthia Gris Batchelder, Tommy Christina Jacobs, J.R. Givens, and Jennifer Drew Moorman; 12 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Sunday from 2-8 PM where funeral services will begin Monday at 10:30 AM followed by the funeral mass at Christ the King Church at 11 AM.
