Rose Marie D'Amore

Rose Marie D’Amore, age 89, of Swanton, Ohio, died September 19, 2020, in Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek. Rose was born November 23, 1930, in Swanton, Ohio, to Joseph and Rosa Damore. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She married Louis D’Amore in Carbonara, Bari, Italy, on March 8, 1947. Rose was known for her kindness, hospitality, and cheerful disposition. She and her husband, Louis, spent many hours in the kitchen, cooking for their loved ones. They enjoyed entertaining and no one was a stranger and no one ever left hungry. She enjoyed gardening, and animals of all kinds, from squirrels, to lambs, to her beloved little dog. She is survived by her children, Stanley (Helen) D’Amore, Carol (David) Brossia, Joseph (Kathy) D’Amore; 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and sister Loretta Herm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, and sisters, Grace Braida and Nicolina Damore. A graveside service will be held for Rose at 10am on Wednesday, September 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Maumee.
