Rose A. Blazey

Rose A. Blazey died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008 at 8:35 PM at Arbors at Waterville, from a long illness. She would have been 90 years old on March 24, 2008. She worked for Tiedkes as a parking lot cashier and later at the Jewish Community Center. She was also a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Rose was an avid gardener and loved to host parties, especially during the holidays. She was most proud of her family, who brought her much joy in her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Blazey; mother and father, Elizabeth Kolman Alexander; sisters Elizabeth, Irene Pocs, Anna Faykosh; brother, Zolda Alexander; daughter, Shirley Silvernail. She is survived by her son, Edwin Nancy Jacobs; sisters, Adele and Margaret Bacon; grandchildren, Diane Jacobs, Connie Christopher Croak, Barbara Jeff Hager, Jeff Jodi Jacobs, Chuck Denine Silvernail, Keith Dawn Silvernail, David Silvernail; and 12 great grandchildren. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 2-8 PM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd with the Rosary recited at 6:30 PM. Services will begin with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Friday followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
