ROSALIE MAE (LUSHER) ROBSON Rosalie M. Robson, 73, of Walbridge, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Walbridge, Ohio on February 22, 1938 to Charles W. and Margaret (Bloomfield) Lusher and was a 1956 graduate of Lake High School. She married Robert Robson on March 8, 1958 in Walbridge and worked for the US Postal Service for many years retiring in 2002 as Postmaster from Martin. She served as District 2 Director for NAPUS for many years and after her retirement, served as President of the Ohio Retirees for NAPUS. She was a member of NARFE, the Ladies Auxiliary Walbridge VFW Post 9963, the St. Charles Hospital Guild and held office for the Sand Beach and Long Beach Association. Rosalie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time at the family cottage on Lake Erie watching her grandson, Lucas, tubing and jet skiing. During the summer months, she travelled all over the country to watch all of Lucas’ baseball games. She enjoyed spending the winter months in Winter Haven, Florida where one of her favorite places was Cypress Gardens. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 53 years, Bob; daughter, Brenda L. Robson and son-in-law, Jim Nowak; son, Todd J. Robson and his special friend Lisa O’Brien; grandson, Lucas J. Robson; nephews, Jesse, Bruce and Victor; and special friend and neighbor, Nanci Revill. Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, DeWaine Lusher. Friends will be received from 6-9 PM on Tuesday and from 2-4 and 6-9 PM on Wednesday in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N Main Street, Walbridge (419-666-3121) where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 5, 2012 with Pastor Terry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Caring Bridge or The American Red Cross. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to a very special friend, Rev. Kenneth Graham, the staff at Toledo Hospital Oncology 8th floor and the nurses at Bay View and Bay Park.
