Rosalie Helen Moser, 92 of Bowling Green, OH, passed away July 3, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
Rosalie was born on November 27, 1933 in Perrysburg, OH to Guy and Laura Shufeldt. On August 16, 1952, Rosalie married her high school sweetheart, K Dale Moser. They were married for 68 years prior to his death in 2020. Together they have 6 children, Christine (Chrissey), their special angel, passed away in 2004. On December 27, 1971, the family's lives changed forever when son, Dean Charles was killed in an automobile accident at the age of 16.
Rosalie is survived by her children, Cindy Reynolds (Dave Bauer); Laura Moser, Andrew (Michelle) Moser, and Jeannie (Scott) Alexander, all of Bowling Green, OH.
Rosalie graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1951. She worked for Citizens Bank after graduation until she and Dale started their family. Then her work never ended.
To say her passion in life was baseball is an understatement. She was an avid lifelong Detroit Tigers fan. In 2014, she fulfilled a dream by being invited by the Tigers to Comerica Park for a game and to be on the field pregame with then manager, Brad Ausmus. In her letter to the organization, she requested the prized duty of either batboy of batgirl. However, the team graciously thought 4 tickets and an on-field experience would suffice, and it certainly did. Throughout the years, she rarely missed watching a game and kept her own scorebook. There were no interruptions allowed during the Tigers games period.
We believe her passion in baseball started with her son, Dean. He was an exceptional baseball player at the time of his death. A few years after Dean's death, she started coaching little league baseball for her son Andy's team, as she believed Dean would have been his coach and no one stepped up to fill those shoes.
She continued to coach little league baseball and girls' softball for around 13 years, including her daughters, Laura and Jeannie. Through her coaching she touched the lives of many people in the Tontogany community.
She also became very active in the Otsego High School Athletic Boosters Hall of Fame.
Dale and Rosalie loyally followed their grandchildren's many activities, attending countless musicals and recitals, in addition to baseball, softball, basketball and volleyball games.
She was a lifelong member of Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg, OH. For many years, she taught Sunday School for special needs adults, as she believed her daughter, Chrissy, and other adults like her, needed to know Jesus loved them too. Her oldest granddaughter, Katie Rose helped her in class during her final years teaching and Rosalie and Chrissey became her inspiration as she went on to become and intervention specialist.
Rosalie was very active throughout her life. She played softball, volleyball, and she and Dale bowled for years. One of her favorite pastimes after Dale died, other than baseball, was her visits and playing euchre with her brother Fritz, sister Tina and brother in law John. She also treasured the many visits she had with her Goddaughter and niece, Barb Nichols, just talking, watching game shows and watching her beloved Detroit Tigers.
Also surviving Rosalie are her grandchildren; Katie Rose Mills (Matthew), Timothy Dean Reynolds, Ellen Schwartz (Ethan), Daniel Moser, Janelle Moser, Lily Rose Downs (Nate) Tony Pasty (Reed), Drew Teifke (Stephanie), David Stelter, Montgomery Alexander and bonus grandson Noah Keifer. She was also blessed with 13 great grandchildren; Everett Dean, Kennedy, Raegan, Arthur, Charlotte, Kellen, Nora, Arden, Maven, Virginia, Valley, Kinley, and Lainey. She is also survived by her brother, Fritz Shufeldt, sister, Tina Young, brother in law, John Young, sister in laws, Marilyn Halbert and Betty Shufeldt; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and lifetime friend, Shirley Lardinais. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale, her brother, Henry Shufeldt and Dwight Shufeldt, and sister, Lorna Shufeldt.
She was stubborn and fought to the end. We will miss her dearly.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 8, from 2:30-8:00PM at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary St., Perrysburg.
