Rosalie K. England

In loving memory of Rosalie K. ORourke England age 70, Maumee, OH who passed away from this life to her new life on April 22, 2011. Rosalie was born on December 17, 1940. She was the daughter of John and Laura Thompson ORourke. Rosalie was married to Charles Chuck England who passed away several years ago. She leaves to this world her two daughters, Lisa Larry Peske and Tiffany Dan Jordan; grandchildren, Gabby, Mckenna, and Brady Jordan, Sarah Antonio Fajardo, Jayne, and KLeigh Peske and sister, Maureen Terison. Rosalie was the owner of the Academy of Technical Studies in Toledo, OH. She is a graduate of Libbey High School 1958 and held a B.S. in Education with a Graduate Credit in Rehabilitation Counseling and Education. She attended Bowling Green State University and University of Toledo and during her career she developed five business schools for individuals with disabilities, injured workers, and dislocated workers in Ohio and Michigan. During her 43 years of teaching experience both on a high school and post-secondary level her one philosophy was always Its the little things that you do over and above what is expect that makes the difference. Rosalie based her life on this principle. She felt that every person no manner what their past or present circumstance is has the capability to do more if only they were given the opportunity to develop it, she devoted her life to helping her students achieve their goals. Her aim was to give new and old skills a chance to enlarge and develop through practice. She valued each individual as a person who is entitled to live a life filled with dignity and self-respect. Rosalie always felt that a good teacher can become a master teacher with years of practice and a desire to be the best. We all felt she had achieved her dream and was a master teacher. Her love of making new friends and making everyone around her feel special will surely be missed by all of us. Rosalie was a mentor to many people throughout her lifetime. It was a gift many people who knew her will be lucky to share. She was greatly loved by her family and friends. Services will be held at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, OH 43537 on Thursday April 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be on Wednesday April 27, 2011 in the afternoon from 12 5 pm and in the evening from 6 8pm. Memorial contributions are requested to the family or the charity of the donors choice.
