Rosalia Martin

Rosalia Martin, age 95, of Maumee, Ohio passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Elizabeth Scott Community. She was born July 5, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio to John and Anna Pertko Shavkanych. Rosalia loved flowers, and had a beautiful rose garden in her yard in Parma Heights. She enjoyed watching people in the summer while sitting on her porch in Maumee with her friend and neighbor, Isabelle. Rosalia also enjoyed participating in the various activities at Elizabeth Scott. A loving grandmother, Rosalia loved her granddaughter, Jacci and felt very lucky to be a great grandmother. The widow of Lawrence Martin who passed away April 21, 1997, Rosalia is survived by her loving daughter, Joyce Calvin Stewart; granddaughter, Jacci Beau Mason; and great grandchildren, Alexander and Amelia Mason. In addition to her parents and husband, Rosalia was preceded in death by her siblings, John, Paul, Peter, Mary and Helen and niece, Janet. Family and friends may visit Monday, October 17, 2011 from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee.
