Ronald Frank Sobczak

Ronald ”Ron” Frank Sobczak, age 75, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Regency Hospital in Toledo. He was born on February 4, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to Frank and Hyacinth (Marciniak ) Sobczak. Ron started his career as a DJ in Lima, Ohio and then moved back to the Toledo area, where you could hear his voice on the radio for stations WOHO, WCWA, 98.3 and 93.5, WRQN. He also worked as the track announcer at Raceway Park and security at the Hollywood Casino.

Ron is survived by his son, Joshua Sobczak and two grandchildren, Katalina and Joshua II. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 12:00-3:00 pm on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Walker Funeral Home-Oregon Chapel, 3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, Ohio where a memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home.
