Ronald Jerome Smith, 70, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Thursday, May 03, 2018, at H. B. Magruder Hospital. Ron was born on January 13, 1948 in Sandusky, OH. He worked at Silgan Plastics in Port Clinton, retiring in 2009 after 25 years. Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He enjoyed bowling and playing cards with family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are: Son: Anton Jackson; Niece: Tiara (Timothy) Palardy; Nephew: Micah (Cheryl) Daniels; Father: Milton “Dave” Morrisette; Siblings: John (Ida) Matthews Jr., Essie Cole, Geneva Matthews, Kathleen Matthews, Michael Matthews, Audree Westbrook and Kenneth Morrisette and many loving Nieces, Nephews, Family & Friends. Ron was preceded in death by his mother: Mary L. (Himon) Morrisette and sister: Dottie Mae Smith. Private family services will be held at a later date.
