RONALD HENRY REINHART Ronald H. Reinhart, 71, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011, at The Manor At Perrysburg. He was born March 6, 1940, in Pesotum, Illinois to Paul O. and Anna M. (Ochs) Reinhart , attended Urbana High School , and was a 1962 graduate of the University of Illinois where he studied business management. Ron served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in the summer of 1965. He married Barbara A. O’Leary at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee, Ohio on November 11, 1969. For over 31 years, Ron worked in management for Kellogg Sales Co. of Battle Creek, MI retiring as the Toledo District Manager in May of 1998. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and the Perrysburg American Legion Post #28, and University of Illinois Alumni Association. One of Ron’s greatest joys in life was music. He was a professionally trained vocalist and shared his gift freely with many. He was privileged to sing at the graduation ceremonies at the University of Illinois, was a member of many choral organizations and enjoyed singing Karaoke, attending musicals and symphony events with his friends. In his final days he was able to bless his family and the staff at the Manor with a song. Heaven’s choir has a new voice. Many special people assisted Ron and his family, especially his best friends Don Smith and Beverly Gonzales and his neighbors. Their love and devotion to Ron was exceptional. He is survived by his sister Carol A. (James) Goetz of Decatur, IL; and niece, Megan Goetz. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; his brother James; his special cat, Muffin, and the love of his life, his wife, Barbara. In honoring Ron’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary, Perrysburg, Ohio (419-874-3133) with Father Joe Steinbauer, officiating. Burial will be private in Fort Meigs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wood County Humane Society or Assistance Dogs of America. Special thanks for the staff at the Manor of Perrysburg and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the loving care they provided to Ron.
