Ronald Dennis Rains

Ronald Dennis Rains, 76, of Oregon, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 24, 1942 to Damon and Nellie (Moore) Rains in Knoxville, TN. Ron loved spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara M. (Clinker); son, Ronald W. (Sarah) Rains and their daughter, Jessica (Mike) Kerekes; daughter, Lisa (Timm) Morrison and their children Alexis and Brock Morrison; daughter, Denise (John) Kaminski and their children, Ari, Sydnie, Brooke and Paige Kaminski; son, Jeffrey (Tara) Rains and their children, Madison, Caleb, Ethan, Luke, Makenzie, and Emilee Rains; brother, David Rains; half-siblings, Cindy Piccarillo, Maynard Rains; and his birth father, Damon Rains. Ron is preceded in death by his birth mother, Nellie Ogle; step-father, Ted Ogle and brother, George Rains. Visitation will take place at Hoeflinger-Shank Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH (419-691-6768) on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. The family will receive friends at Hope Baptist Church, 6250 South Ave., Toledo, OH on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the start of services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
