Ronald L. Pinkston

Ronald Lee Pinkston, 59, of Toledo, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Toledo Hospital after a short battle with Leukemia. Ron was born July 14, 1953 in Garden City, MI. He met his wife, Teri Scarberry, at the University of Toledo in 1971 and they were married in 1973. Ron worked as a Tool and Die journeyman for over 42 years. Tool and Die was more than a profession for Ron, it was part of his identity and something he loved to do. He started his apprenticeship at age 16 at Formatic, then at Trackmatic for the owner of both companies, Terry Wild, who was the best man at his wedding. Ron began working at Ort Tool and Die in 1981 and this was his home until he passed. The most important thing in his life was his family and being able to provide love and support. He will be missed beyond belief. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Teri Pinkston; daughters, Kate Richard Holloway Pinkston and Beth Chris Chatfield; sister, Susan Whitcomb; many nieces, a nephew, and great nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, F.M. and Geneva Pinkston and infant nephew, Scott Whitcomb. Friends and family are invited to visit at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. from 1:00pm until the time of memorial services at 3:00pm on Saturday, May 18, 2013.
