Ronald Ervin Peters

Ronald Ervin Peters, 67, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died suddenly at his home Tuesday afternoon, May 28, 2013. Ronald was born November 13, 1945, in Port Clinton, Ohio, to Ervin and Helen Ahrendt Peters. On June 17, 1967, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor he married Diane Schultz and she survives. Ronald retired after 45 years working at Brush Wellman Materion in Elmore, Ohio. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Ronald loved working around his house and especially working on old John Deere lawn mowers. He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Ronald loved his dog, Scruffy. In addition to his loving wife of 45 years, Diane, Ronald is survived by his daughter, Amy Jo, and brother, Lyle Peters. His parents and sister, Jane Tolan, preceded him in death. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2013, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, with visitation from 9-11:00 a.m. prior to the service; Pastor Deb Domeier, officiating. Interment will take place in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials for Ronald be given in care of the family.
