Ronald “Ron” L. Mohr, age 84, of Toledo and formerly of Swanton, Ohio died Friday, November 9, 2012 at Parkcliffe Community. He was born in Toledo on November 24, 1927 to Clifford C. and Ellen (Kirkman) Mohr and on June 20, 1952 he married Roberta P. Bowers. A Veteran of the United States Army, Ron was employed as a Metal Spinner for Toledo Metal Spinning for over 25 years. A former member of the American Legion Post #479 Swanton, Ohio, Ron was a Past Master of the Swanton Masonic F &AM Lodge #349 and a member of the Valley of Toledo Scottish Rite. As a member of the Zenobia Shriners Jeepsters, Ron was passionate for the Zenobia Shriners Circus. Ron loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Roberta P. Mohr; daughter, Claudia (Wendell) Parsons; Thomas (Cynthia) Mohr; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Clifford “Duane” (Betty) Mohr and Lloyd (Ruby) Mohr as well as his uncle, Alfred Mohr. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 4-8 P.M. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. with Chaplain Christopher Roper, officiating. Burial will follow in East Swanton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Ron’s name to the Shriners Hospital for Children. The family would like to thank the staff of the Parkcliffe Community for all their loving and compassionate care.
