Ronald Jensen, 84, of Port Clinton, Ohio, died at Stein Hospice in Sandusky on Saturday, April 15, 2017, just four days prior to his 85th birthday. Ronald was born April 19, 1932, in Port Clinton to Hans C. and Karn (Hansen) Jensen. On March 23, 1953, in Port Clinton he married Lorraine “Bea” Bennett and she survives. Ronald retired from Uniroyal in 1992 after 27 years. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Missouri during the Korean War. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Port Clinton. In addition to his wife, Bea, Ronald is survived by his sons, Craig E. Jensen of Columbus and Steven Jensen of Port Clinton, daughter-in-law, Carol Jensen of Sandusky and son, Rev. Ken (Julie) Joy of Elyria; grandchildren, Eric Jensen, Nicole (Kris) Humphrey, Caitlin (Andy) Adag, Casey Joy and Caleb Joy; great grandchildren, Elrik Jensen, Tessa Jensen and December Lawrence; great-great granddaughter, Harper Jensen; sister-in-law, Edna Jensen of Oak Harbor; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Paul Christian Jensen, daughter, Cindy Jensen, and siblings, Margit McAfee, Hans Jensen, Neils Jensen, Mary Ann Kuzma, Anna Hansen, Laura Belle Harpel, Eleanor Maloney, Leroy Jensen, Robert Jensen, Richard Jensen and Vivian Wadsworth. A memorial service for Ronald will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 12, 2017, at St. John Lutheran Church in Port Clinton.
