Ronald E. Hornyak, Jr., 45, of Sylvania, died February 19, 2015. Ron was born January 25, 1970 in Norfolk, Va. He graduated from Maumee High School in 1988 and attended the University of Toledo. Ron was a graphic designer, owning and operating the Art Sign Company and serving as president of TASCA. Ron was an outdoorsman and particularly enjoyed hiking and boating. He was an avid basketball fan and player and especially enjoyed watching and cheering on his daughter, Madi. He always took time to assist his daughter, Sydni, with her artwork and cosplay. Ron was a loving, selfless husband and father. He found his greatest enjoyment in evenings spent at home with family. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Traci C. (Diehl) Hornyak, whom he married February 26, 1994; daughters, Madilyn and Sydni; brother-in-law, Brent Stachowiak (Brenda); niece, Sara Shonebarger (Joe); and his wifes family, whom Ron deeply loved. A memorial gathering will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 22, 2015 in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for expenses and education fund in care of Fifth Third Bank (for the Benefit of Ron Hornyak), 5833 Monroe St., Sylvania, OH 43560.
