Ronald E. Miller

Ronald E. Miller, age 71, of Toledo passed away Saturday May 28, 2016 surrounded by family at Ebeid Hospice. He was born May 12, 1945 to Harold and Helen. He attended Macomber and Bowsher High Schools and afterwards enlisted in the Navy where he was an airplane mechanic on the USS Constellation. He married Donna McGovern on October 16, 1965. Ron drove truck for various companies retiring from Estes in 2010. The consummate family man, he enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing mostly because of the uninterrupted family/friend time. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Arthur McGovern and Stewart Bolton; sister-in-law, Lillian Smith; cousin, Lorrie Bernath and granddaughter, Megan Marie Miller. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Donna; daughter Tammi; sons, Ronald A. (Betsy), Jonathan (Ashley) LaCourse; grandchildren, Justin (Jordan), Jordyn, Sarah Anne; brothers, Terrance (Jeanie), David; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Bolton, Virginia McGovern, brother-in-law, John Smith; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews; and friend and fishing partner Dan Primavera. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 2-9 PM at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family asks any memorials be directed to Ebeid Hospice, 5200 Harroun Rd., Sylvania, OH 43560. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Ebeid for the amazing compassionate care given to Ron.
