Ronald John Dowling, Sr.

Ronald John Dowling Sr., 68, of Port Clinton, OH and formerly of Blossburg, PA, passed away Monday, October 08, 2012 at his residence. Ronald was born on July 08, 1944 in Blossburg, PA, the son of Frank and Betty Dowling Baker . On January 14, 1967 in Blossburg, PA, he married Judy Weller and she survives. Ron was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was a supervisor for the J. P. Ward Manufacturing Co. in Blossburg, PA for 35 years until his retirement in 2009. Ron was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church. He loved trout fishing with his grandsons. Ron enjoyed antique cars and participating in WWII reenactments with his son. Survivors include: Wife: Judy Dowling of Port Clinton; Son: Ronald Dowling Jr. of Port Clinton; Grandsons: Thomas Gavin Dowling; Brother: Frank Baker of Mainesburg, PA; Sisters: Roseann Kelly of Denton, MD, Barbara Griswald of Morris Run, PA and Wendy Barnes of Mansfield, PA and many loving nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Thomas Joseph Baker. A Prayer service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, October 12, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, October 27, 2012 at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, Wellsboro, PA. Interment will be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mansfield, PA. Memorial donations in memory of Ronald may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
