Ronald L. Austin, Sr., 73, of Martin, died Saturday morning, February 13, 2016, at his home. Ron was born November 21, 1942, in Atkins, Arkansas, to Wilburn and Maxine (McCabe) Austin. He married Mildred D. Presley in Toledo on July 22, 2011, and she survives. Ron was a millwright for Chrysler, Stickney Ave. Plant, for 31 years and retired in 2012. He enjoyed fishing and especially tinkering with cars, keeping them immaculate. His family and friends knew Ron as a work-aholic; and when he was not at work, he could be found at his church, Calvary Bible Chapel in Toledo. Surviving Ron are his wife, Mildred, son, Ronnie Austin, Jr. of Toledo, grandchildren, Joshua (Angie) Austin, Douglas Austin and Caitlin Austin, all of Toledo and great grandson, William Myers. He is also survived by his siblings, Carol (Craig) Davis, Linda (Donald) Brown, Glenda (Robert) Snyder and Richard Lyle Austin all of Toledo, step son, Kenneth Hagemann of Las Vegas, step daughter, Renee (Manuel) Schneider of Northwood and step grandson, Benjamin Schneider. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Charles and Billy Don Austin, step daughter, Debra Presley and his first wife, Joanne (Tittle) Austin. Visitation will be held 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2016, at Calvary Bible Chapel, 3740 W. Alexis Rd., Toledo, OH 43623, with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Immediately following the service, family and friends are invited to share in a luncheon at the church. Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. in Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville, Ohio. The family has suggested that memorials for Ron be given to Calvary Bible Chapel or the donors choice. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory of Genoa has assisted the family with arrangements.
