Rollin J. Deszell

Rollin J. Deszell, age 76, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Rollin was born October 9, 1933 in LaSalle, Michigan to Leo and Adline LaPointe Deszell. Rollin was employed as a truck driver for 30 years, his employers included Interstate, ABF, Carolina, and Jones Freight. Rollin was a member of Teamsters Local 20. He was a hard worker and a handyman. Rollin was also a regular blood donor for the American Red Cross. He is survived by his loving wife Christine, whom he married on September 1, 1953. Children, Doug Mellonie Deszell, Debra Tenney, Daniel Angela Deszell and Mark Deszell; son-in-law, Tom Peterson; grandchildren, Daniel Noelle, Bradley, Patrick, Abigail, and Sam and great granddaughter, Maggie. Also surviving are his sisters, Annabelle Bernie Diroff, Rita Paul Lavoy, Madylin Deszell; brothers, Donald Debbie Deszell and Marvin Sue Deszell. Rollin was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cynthia Peterson; sister, Gladys Blakeman; brothers, Leo Deszell, Jr. and Lawrence Deszell. Family and friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Friday, June 18, 2010 from 2-8 pm with a scripture service to be held at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 9:15 am followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
