Roger L. Ziegler

Roger L. Rog Zeigler age 67 of Toledo passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 17, 2009 in the Hospice Inpatient Unit, Perrysburg. He was born August 8, 1941 to Earl and Lenora Zeigler in Pettisville, Ohio. He was a 1959 graduate of DeVilbiss High School, then married Maria Mireles in 1964. A veteran of the US Navy he was then employed as a machine operator for GM Powertrain for 38 years retiring in 2000. Roger was a member of Mayfair Plymouth Church. He enjoyed woodworking, golf, reading, boating and bowling where he had numerous 300 games. Roger most enjoyed his family and was an avid Ohio State fan. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward and Gene Zeigler; and grandson Kaden Ramer. Surviving is his loving wife of 44 years, Maria; daughters Christine Dr. Daniel Cassavar, Cheryl Todd Ramer and Michele Terry Ramer; grandchildren, Danny, Lauren, Kayla, Kristen, David, Kyle, Jordan, Taylor and Jade; brother Jack Zeigler; sister Dorothy Stephenson; and his extended family and friends. Friends may call at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Friday from 1-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM in Mayfair Plymouth Church 5253 Bennett Rd, Toledo with interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville.
