Roger Wehner

Roger Wehner, 86, of Oak Harbor, OH, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH. Roger was born on December 23, 1931 in Rocky Ridge, OH, the son of Charles and Bernetta (Velliquette) Wehner. On April 26, 1958 in Sandusky, OH he married Margaret Manner and she preceded him in death on June 2, 2003. Roger was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. He and his brothers, Robert & Gerald, owned Wehner Brothers Plastering and he was a 49 year member and Original Annuity Trustee and Executive Board Member of Plasterers & Cement Masons Local 886, Toledo. Roger was an active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor, OH. Roger had a great love of sports and excelled in Baseball and Football and was a member of the 1950 SBC Championship Oak Harbor Football Team. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are: Daughter: Ann (Michael Huffman) Wehner; Grandson: Nicholas Huffman; Brother: Gerald Wehner and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters: Ida and Berneda, brothers: Charles, Raymond, Robert, Ronald & Donald Wehner. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8pm, Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Father Tim Ferris at 11:00am, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 215 Church St, Oak Harbor, OH. Interment will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Boniface Catholic Church.
