Roger Allen Weber, 82 years old, of Woodville, Ohio went to join the Lord and his wife of 62 years, Phyllis, on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024, after a fulfilling and blessed life. He was born on June 30th, 1941, to Beulah (Hendricks) and Otto Weber in Woodville, Ohio, where he also completed his education. Roger and Phyllis (Grizzell) were married on September 3rd, 1960.
Roger worked for 25 years at Owens-Illinois as an electronics technician. He also worked at Martin Marietta and the Woodville Post Office. He turned his love of photography into a profession by opening Creative Photography Studio in Woodville; specializing in weddings, family portraits and senior pictures.
Roger was a man of many endeavors and hobbies, starting with magic, becoming a magician performing alongside Quacky the Clown. Other interests include toupees, betta fish, bonsais trees and computer services. He had so many more hobbies not mentioned; Roger never stopped learning!
He volunteered for his community for over 50 years for the Woodville Fourth of July Celebration and was honored as a grand marshal in the celebrations parade in 2017. He served multiple terms on the Woodville Town Council. As a member of the Woodville Jaycees, he helped to create one of the area’s first Haunted Houses. He enjoyed performing with Ronnie D & the Greasers at many local events. He was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church where he volunteered on many committees and worked in maintenance.
He is survived by his children Wendy Chambers (Terry), Karyn Lambert (Mike) and Matthew Weber (Ruth). He is the grandfather to Ryan Stram, Bret Stram (Shireen), Carley Lambert (Neil), Corey Lambert, Justin Weber, Nichole Weber (Kenneth) and Samantha Travis (Matthew). He is great grandfather to Jozie, Thea, Savanah, Willow, Roman and Madeline. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24th at 10:00 am at Solomon Lutheran Church, 305 W. Main Street, Woodville, Ohio 43469, with the funeral to follow at 11:00 am. A luncheon will be held following the service at the church. Burial will be private at a later date. The family asks in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Solomon Lutheran Church Boiler Fund.
