Roger Schlipf

Roger G. Schlipf, 85, of LaCarne, passed away Sunday, January 03, 2021 at Countryside Manor Nursing Home, Fremont. He was born on May 18, 1935 in Genoa to William C. and Anna M. (Hoeft) Schlipf. On August 6, 1955 in Port Clinton he married Joeva Barnes and she preceded him in death on January 21, 2017. Roger worked in the Highway Maintenance Department for Ottawa County for 16 years, for the State of Ohio for 17 years, and part time for the Hayward Co. for several years. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Port Clinton. Roger is survived by his sister-in-laws, Judy (Ken) Buehler, and Wilhelmina “Willie” Barnes, brother-in-law, Charles “Chuck” (Carolyn) Barnes and nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers, Clarence, Lawrence, Harvey, Lester, Emil, and William Schlipf. Visitation for Roger will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St. Oak Harbor, OH. Funeral services will be conducted privately at the funeral home with burial to follow in LaCarpe Cemetery, LaCarne, OH. Per the Governor’s order, facial coverings and social distancing are required for both the visitation and funeral services. Memorial contributions in memory of Roger can be given to Faith United Methodist Church or the Erie Township Volunteer Fire Department.
