Roger E. Reif, 87, of Graytown, Ohio, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at Parkcliffe Alzheimers Community Home, Northwood, Ohio. He was born on December 18, 1928, in Benton Township, Ohio, to Fred and Edna (Wittman) Reif. Roger served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952. On June 11, 1954, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Martin, Ohio, he married Marilyn Guth, and she preceded him in death on May 20, 2009. Roger worked for Shell Oil in Toledo, Ohio, for 33 years before retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Martin, and the American Legion Post #114 of Oak Harbor. Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially gardening. Roger is survived by his sons, Bradley (Carrie) Reif and Randall (Kimberly) Reif, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Jeffrey Reif, brothers, Fredrick Joker Reif and Ralph Reif and sisters, Margaret Lacer, Phyllis Kontak and Betty Millinger,. Visitation for Roger will be on Thursday, September 22, 2016, from 2-8 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 23, 2016, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 17877 W. St. Rt. 579, Martin, with interment to follow in Elliston Cemetery, Elliston. Memorial contributions for Roger are suggested to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Martin, Great Lakes Hospice, Graytown Park or a charity of the donors choice.
