Roger F. Meyers

ROGER F. MEYERS Roger F. Meyers, 77, of Whitehouse, OH, formerly of Monroe, MI passed away on February 3, 2017 at Whitehouse Country Manor. He was born on August 1, 1939 in Monroe, MI to the late Thurlow and Shirley (Newcomb) Meyers. Roger honorably served in the Army of the United States during the Vietnam War in the 82nd Airborne Division. Roger was a long time member of the Erie United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a life-time member in the 82nd Airborne Division Historical Society. Roger is survived by his sisters, Jo Ann Carter and Ruth Ann Meyers; long time girlfriend, Earla Wanner; special friends, Mary and Roger Liechty; guardian, Linde Webb; and special caregiver, John OHara. He was also preceded in death by friend and caregiver, Marti Zarkower. Military graveside services will take place at 11am on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Union Cemetery, Erie Township, Michigan.
