Roger R. Lau

Roger R. Lau, 65, of Curtice, Ohio, died in his home Saturday, July 31, 2010. He was born May 3, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, to Herman A. and Edna A. Dreier Lau. Roger was a graduate of Oak Harbor High School. For over 25 years he worked as a machine operator for Champion Spark Plug retiring in the late 1980s. Rogers many hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping, and riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He especially loved horses, which he owned several over the years. Roger will be missed by his friends to whom he was very loyal. His survivors include his mother, Edna, of Genoa, sons, Dirk Lau of Toledo, Troy Rebecca Lau of Oldsmar, FL, and Todd Crystal Lau of Florida; grandchildren, Christian, Trina and Tyler; and sisters, Hermine Marv Sondergeld of Toledo, Ruth Chuck Dewitz of Oak Harbor and Betty Ron Martin of Macedonia, OH. His father preceded him in death. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH 43430. The funeral service will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010, in the funeral home with interment to follow in Elliston Cemetery, Graytown.
