Roger L. Benham, Sr.

Roger L. Benham, age 92, of Toledo, died February 20, 2015. He was born August 13, 1922 in Burlington, Iowa, the youngest son of William H. and Laura May (Cutter) Benham. Roger served during World War II in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands, a member of the Army Airways Communication System. An insurance agent for many years, he administered the members insurance plans for many professional associations in Toledo and throughout Ohio. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dr. William Benham; and sisters, Laura Pirwitz and Wilma Jones. He will be sorely missed by his loving wife, Ellen; his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Linda Benham, and their children, Wil and Kate. At Rogers request, services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Walker Funeral Home, Toledo.
