The Torio Family is saddened to announce the death of their son and brother, Rocco.
Rocco was the type of person that if you didn’t know him, you knew of him. He was very funny, incredibly hard working, and endlessly kind and selfless. He could light up a room and whatever energy he had, he brought to everyone.
Rocco found an early love for construction work and building and fixing things, and took great pride in his ability to create peace for somebody in their home. At the time of his death, he had started an apprenticeship in plumbing to further his ability to do exactly that. He also found great joy in being on the water, whether it was on his speedboat, Clifford, or the family fishing boat, the SS Sharlow. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, mountain biking and his dog, who he often referred to as his son, Zeus.
Rocco is preceded in death by his Great-Grandparents, Vivian and Ted Sharlow, Helene and Wendell Schlichting, Frances and Maurice Warnock, and Gloria and Joe Jessup and Grandfather (Papa) Dick Torio. He is survived by parents Stace and Gino Torio, siblings Jordan, Madison (Jason), Ashlen and Dominic, and many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be at 10 am, with funeral service at 12pm on Saturday, August 16th, 2025 at Calvary Church, 1360 Conant St, Maumee, OH 43537. Lunch will follow, location to be announced.
One of the things that made Rocco, Rocco was his love of people getting together, and he would want everyone together to celebrate his life, so if you knew him, or knew of him, the family would be honored to have you there.
If you would like to send flowers, flowers can be sent to the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Planned Pethood Toledo or Rebel Dogs Detroit.
