Rob L. Marko

Robin “Rob” L. Marko, 65, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away on February 5, 2022. He was born in Oregon, Ohio on May 8, 1956, the son of Julius F. and Beatrice M. (Tabbert). He graduated from Genoa High School in 1975 and joined the U.S. Air Force. Rob was a heavy equipment operator working on many different job sites with his brother Dave and the E. S. Wagner Co., from which he retired in 2021.

Rob will always be remembered as a very upbeat and happy guy who made friends easily. He could be found sitting at his favorite place, Ray’z Café in Genoa, enjoying a cold one and engaging in lighthearted conversation. He was very mechanically inclined and was always ready to help family and friends with his expertise. Rob was a HUGE Ohio State University Football fan and enjoyed collecting anything OSU! When Rob was home he liked to watch movies especially horror flicks. Rob also had a motorcycle that he liked to ride and usually did so when there was a Poker Run or a fund raiser.

Rob is survived by his children, Amber (Jeffrey) Siefke, Ryan Marko and Brittany (Pete Lizcano) Marko, grandchildren, Max Marko-Lizcano, Ashton Siefke, Lila Marko and Emersyn Siefke and his brothers, Jerry (Becky) Marko and Dave Marko. He was preceded in death by his parents

Visitation for Rob will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. Following visitation, at 8:30 PM, everyone is invited to join the family at Ray’z Café to raise a toast to Rob and share their stories.
