Roberta Kathleen Vassar

Roberta Kathleen Vassar, 95, of Perrysburg, Ohio died Monday, October 22, 2018 at Heartland of Perrysburg. She was born in Lima, Ohio on January 7, 1923 to Munson C. and Bessie A. (Shears) Vassar. Roberta graduated from Morrison R. Waite High School in 1941 and worked for General Mills in Toledo. Roberta is survived by her sisters, Martha Simpson and Carolyn (Donald) Bylow; many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Her family was her world and they will dearly miss her. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Carl Vassar, Joel Vassar and Lawrence Vassar; sisters, Harriet Weirauch, Charlotte Golightley and Miriam “Mimi” Vassar; and nephew, James Doty. Friends will be received at Witzler Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 (419-874-3133) on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. with a funeral service at noon. Burial will follow in Ft. Meigs Cemetery.
