Roberta Louise Tippin

Roberta Louise Tippin, 92, passed away at Manor of Perrysburg, on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 13, 1923 in Adrian, Michigan to John E. and Thelma R. (Nichols) Marshall. She as a 1941 graduate of Burnham High School and she married Robert R. Tippin on June 7, 1941 in Sylvania, Ohio. Roberta was a longtime member of Living Faith United Methodist in Holland. She was active in Girls Scouts and Campfire Girls where she was Den Mother. She also served as a Cub Scout leader. Roberta enjoyed crafts, especially using beads for jewelry and plastic canvas which she would use to create ornaments, tissue boxes and other trinkets. She also loved to paint. Roberta is survived by her children, Sande S.L. Showalter, Juanita C. (Clarence) Shellito, Chet G. (Terri L.) Tippin, Sheila K. Tippin and Lela R. (Ron) Duda. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Roberta is preceded in death by her husband, sisters, Geraldine Morris and Shirley Horner, and several grandchildren. Friends will be received on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from to 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Thursday, September, 24, 2015 at 10:30 A.M.
