Roberta Ann Bert Reinbolt Spanfellner

Roberta “Bert” Ann Spanfellner, 80, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2018 at St. Clare Commons. She was born on March 13, 1938 in Gibsonburg, Ohio to Carl M. and Josephine M. (Nieset) Reinbolt. Bert graduated in 1956 from Gibsonburg High School. She married Robert C. Spanfellner on August 2, 1958. They spent 55 years together until his passing on May 8, 2013. Bert worked as an IBM operator for Libbey Owens Ford. She was a faithful member of St. Rose Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar Society and a former Parish Council Member. Bert enjoyed crocheting, knitting and bike riding. She loved children and cared for many in the area. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who will be deeply missed. Bert is survived by her daughters, Robin (Douglas) Eckel and Sherry Reed; grandchildren, Andrea (Ross) Lenke, Alyssa and Brett Eckel, Austin and Ryan Reed; great-grandchildren, Bowen Eckel and Loretta Ann Lenke; many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, John, Harold, Herbert, Willis, Alvin and Dale; sisters, Josephine Kerbel, Ruth Gradwohl, Viola Unger, Luella Gresh and Ida Albecker. Friends will be received at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front Street, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 for a Memorial Mass on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Rose Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Bert’s name may be made to St. Rose Catholic Church or the Alzheimer’s Association, 2500 N. Reynolds Road, Toledo, Ohio 43615.
