Roberta J. Orwig

Roberta "Bobby" Jane Orwig, 95, of Perrysburg, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 at Kingston in Perrysburg. Roberta was born March 17, 1927 in Lenoir, NC, the daughter of Samuel and Ethel (Townsend) Paris. She married Joseph Orwig, Sr. in June 1947 and they shared 69 years together until he passed on March 6, 2016.

Roberta worked as a bookkeeper/cashier for Food Town for many years. She was a member of Hampton Park Christian Church and enjoyed gardening and doting on her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Mary (Mike) Passino and David Orwig; daughter-in-law, Peggy Orwig; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Along with her husband Joseph, she was preceded in death by her parents, half-brother, Charles Baugh, and son, Joseph Orwig, Jr.

Friends and family will be received Friday, June 17, 2022 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Fish Cemetery.
