Robert Wininger

Robert Louis Wininger, age 72 of Millbury, Ohio passed away on Tuesday April 21, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 26, 1947 in Toledo to Louie and Mary (Leek) Wininger. Rob was a graduate of Lake High School and Bowling Green State University. He proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard for 5 years. He was a member of Cedar Creek Church Perrysburg Campus where he served various volunteer roles. Rob loved the Lord with all his heart and witnessed to many people about his faith. He was the owner of a software company, Wininger & Associates and also served on the Millbury Village Council for 25 years. In his later years he worked as a substitute teacher at Genoa, Northwood, Lake, Rossford and Penta County Schools. In his free time Rob loved to golf, and he served as chairman of the LPGA Marathon Classic Golf Tournament. He also had various roles with the Ronald McDonald House Children’s Charities where he and Linda spent time as weekend managers. He was a true gentleman with integrity and high standards. He loved to spend “Happy Hour” with his many friends and close family. Rob was a loving husband to his wife Linda and an amazing father to his daughter Heidi, whom he loved with all his heart. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Linda (Beeson); daughter, Heidi Wininger; and his granddog, Bentley whom held a special place in Rob’s heart. Rob was preceded in death by his parents. Due to the pandemic health crisis, private funeral services will be held at Sujkowski Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Rd., Rossford, OH and burial will take place at Lake Township Cemetery with Pastor Rick DuShane officiating. The family is planning a Celebration of Life at Cedar Creek Church once it is safe to socially gather. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Ruthies Angels and the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their love and compassion during his final days.
