Robert Bob W. Warner, 77, of Genoa, died late Tuesday evening, July 2, 2013, in Mercy-St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. Bob was born April 24, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio, to Edward and Velma Nagy Warner. He married Karen Guy in Toledo on December 30, 1994. He retired in 1996 after 30 years working in maintenance at Chrysler, Perrysburg machining plant, and served as a union steward. Bob played football during his high school years from 1952-56 and was named All State Honorable Mention. On October 23, 1981, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Clay High School. He had excelled at all sports-track and basketball as well as football. As a youngster, Bob enjoyed attending Camp Storer. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served from 1956-1958. Bobs favorite pastimes were traveling around the United States, fishing, and taking care of his animals. Bob is survived by: his wife, Karen; daughters, Penney Vick and Sherri Mike Palmer; grandchildren, Misty and Allen Williams and their children, Curtis Roughton, Kyle Roughton, Sadie Williams and A.J. Williams; Michael and Dana and their children, Brock, Boston and Breah; Brandel and Ryan Kemp and their daughter, Emma; and grandchildren, Cheyenne Vick, Tabatha Cascadden and Jeremy Ebby. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Warner, sister-in-law, Joyce Warner, and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Velma and Ambrose Kempf, grandsons, Ty Brian Vick and Michael Palmer, Jr., and great granddaughter, Mya Williams. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials for Bob may be directed to the family.
