Robert Lee Trapp, Jr.

Robert Lee Trapp, Jr., son of Robert and Willow (Taylor) Trapp, was born on April 14, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio. A Monclova and Holland resident and was active in all sports. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1950 and served in the Korean War, receiving 3 bronze battle stars. Robert married LaVerne Gunn on January 24, 1953 and worked in the maintenance department as a welder at Sun Oil for 38 years. Robert was an active member of Providence Lutheran Church and a 50 year member of Wakeman Masonic Lodge in Waterville, Ohio, and the Rubicon Lodge. He also enjoyed gardening, and playing in the Sun Oil Golf league. Surviving Robert is his son, John (Kathy) Trapp, grandchildren, Jason, Matthew (Tanya) and Tiffany. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, June Jacobs and brother, Thomas Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio. Additional visitation will be held from 9-10 am on Thursday, November 29, 2018 with the funeral services to begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in Roth Cemetery.
