Robert E Sparks

Robert E. Sparks age 60 of Toledo passed away suddenly May 9, 2016 in his home. He was born October 7, 1955 in Toledo to Don and Faye (Swartz) Sparks. A 1973 graduate of Whitmer High School, he was a sales representative in the food industry and was currently with Vasko. A devoted son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather he instilled in his sons that you get out what you put in. Bob was active in Pilgrim Churchs Shabbott ministry which was an outreach to feed the homeless. He was a past youth baseball coach in Trilby and helped build Dubendorfer Field. He was an avid golfer who taught the sport to his children. Bob was a very caring man and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed nature and caring for animals, especially Layla and Leo. Surviving is his wife Sally; sons Jason (Katie), Justin, Joshua and Jordan (Erin) Sparks; grandchildren Leah, Sydney, Noah and Braylee; his parents; sister Sandra Sparks; and aunt Lynn Kessler. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 3-7 PM at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) where a memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
