Robert Leo Snoad

Robert Leo Snoad, age 88, of Toledo, died November 13, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Bob was born January 24, 1928 in Toledo to the late Charles and Dorothy (Stewart) Snoad. He graduated from Macomber High School in 1947 and attended The Ohio State University. Bob was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving for four years during the Korean War. He was employed for more than 42 years at the Columbia Gas Company, retiring in 1992. Bob was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Joseph Dean American Legion Post. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Sylvania Senior Center, playing card games, golf and was an avid Ohio State fan. He is survived by his loving wife of more than 64 years, Joan (Lopresto) Snoad; children, Sandra (Mark) Jakubec, Sue (Keith) Dulinsky, Sharon (David) Jones, Karen (Doug) Derlatka, Rob (Becky) Snoad and John (Sherri) Snoad; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and brother, Richard (Phyllis) Snoad. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Services will begin with prayers in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 and proceed to Christ the King Church, 4011 Harvest Lane, Toledo, for 12:00 p.m. funeral Mass. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery with military rites provided by the U.S. Air Force. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs at both St. Annes and Hospice of NW Ohio for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the church, the Knights of Columbus or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
