Robert Nelson Shilling

Lt. Colonel Robert Nelson Shilling, age 90, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away in his home on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. He was born on July 23, 1931, to Theodore and Viva (Sleesman) Shilling in Corning, Ohio. Robert retired from the U.S. Army where he was employed in the Finance Department. He served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. Bob was an active member at the Perrysburg Alliance Church. He and his late wife, Mary Ellen, were involved in local and international missions, and served as directors of the 700 Club Toledo Volunteer Center. He is survived by his children, Ann (Dennis), Robert Jr. (Sandra), Marilyn; grandchildren, Kristin (Nathan) Brandon, Brian, Jordan (Whitney), Joel, Robby, Catherine, Emily, Sarah; 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Mary Ellen; son, Ken; sisters, Sandra Palmer and infant, Marilyn Shilling. Family and friends will be received at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio, on Friday, August 6, 2021, from 10 A.M. - 11 A.M. with the Funeral Service beginning at 11 A.M. Graveside services will be private.
