Robert Lee Scott, Jr., age 72, passed away on April 22, 2020 at Bay Park Community Hospital. Robert was born February 22, 1948 in Sandusky, OH to Robert, Sr. and Barbara Scott. He graduated from Margaretta High School and Firelands Community College where he received a degree in Humanities. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard for 32 years, retiring as a Major. Robert also worked Ford Motors for 38 years. He enjoyed fishing and socializing and was an avid pool player. Robert started his Masonic journey in Sandusky, OH. He was a member of Progress Lodge #85, where he served as Worshipful Master. He was also a member of Bezeleel Consistory #15 and El Hasa Temple #28. He later continued his travels in Toledo as a member of Composite Lodge #108, St. Matthews Consistory #24, where he was the Most Wise and Perfect Master of Tyre Chapter of the Rose Croix, and Mecca Temple #43 where he served as Illustrious Potentate (2017) and Treasurer. He was a member of Mecca Temple #43 and Elks Lodge #129. Robert became a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church at an early age and later joined Christian Community Church. Robert is survived by his wife, Gwen Boyd-Scott; daughter, Tanika M. Boyd; sons, Maurice (Keisha) Boyd and Robert L. Scott, III; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Clinton (Cassandra) Scott, Sr., Burnell (Paula) Scott, Joann Harris, Joyce (Michael) Mack, Juanita Williams, Felix (Colleen) Scott,Sr., Terry (Trish) Scott, Tracy (Jodi) Scott, Carmelita (Brian) Copeland, and Kendrick (Amber) Scott.; a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends; and special mother-in-law; Lola Boyd. Services for Robert will be private.
