Robert L. Rawlins

Robert L. Bob Rawlins, 71, of Fremont, OH, passed away Monday, December 28, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Blackfork, OH on December 23, 1938, the son of Lewis Ulyuss and Francis Lavey Rawlins. Bob was retired from Ford Motor Co. after working for 33 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Bob was an amateur radio enthusiast and loved drag racing. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Mother: Frances Rawlins of Marion, OH; Sisters: Shirley Miller of Patriot, OH, Barbara Hommes of Conneaut, OH, Connie Miller of Centerville, OH, Brenda Rawlins and Linda Gynor both of Marion, OH; Brothers: Charles E. Rawlins of Conneaut, OH, Roy Lee Rawlins and Ronnie Rawlins both of Marion, OH; Daughters: Pam Rawlins and Kim Eddy Frias; Son: Rob Carrie Rawlins; Grandchildren: Sharlynn, Ryan, Emily, Sydney and Parker Frias, Cayla Bodi, Miranda Rawlins and Christopher Hovis all of Port Clinton, OH; Great-Grandchildren: Staci Bragg and Domonic Frias. Bob was preceded in death by his father: Lewis U. Rawlins and sister: Wanda Rawlins. Visitation will be from 11-1PM on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Kuhner and Lewis Funeral Home, 202 Maple Avenue, Oak Hill, OH 45656. A Funeral service will be conducted at 1PM, following the visitation. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Oak Hill, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Bob may be given to the Shriners Childrens Hospital or Disabled Veterans Services. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements.
