Robert G. Plageman

Robert G. Plageman, age 94, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Otterbein Portage Valley Care Center. Robert was born in Toledo on June 21, 1922 to Clifford and Idabelle Plageman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII and was a member of the American Legion. Bob was the owner of Plageman Ceramic Tile Company. He enjoyed woodworking and made picnic tables, birdhouses as well as ceramic tile clocks. He loved the outdoors, especially camping with family, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was past-president of the Reynolds Corner Exchange Club. Bob is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Thomas (Linda) and Stephen (Charlene) Plageman; brother, Jim (Deloris) Plageman; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sara; and brothers, Bill and Clifford Plageman. Visitation will be Friday, August 19, 2016 from 2-8:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.). Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4560 Glendale Ave. Toledo, OH 43614. Interment will be private at Toledo Memorial Park.
