Robert Pesina, Sr.

Robert Pesina Sr., 63, of Sandusky passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Toledo, OH. He was born on February 11, 1959, in Toledo, Ohio to Gregorio and Margarita Negron-(Torres)-Pesina. On October 3, 1987, he married Rebecca (Dienes) Pesina, who he is now reunited with in death.

Robert and Rebecca raised five children together and his love for his wife and family was tremendous. Robert loved teaching his grandchildren how to play cards and dice, having played so many games with them that even adults would join in on their matches. He loved sports and had an impressive baseball card collection, but his favorite sport to watch was NASCAR. He was a lover of music, having played guitar, and his favorite band was Aerosmith. He always had a joke to say, and if his kids ever joked back, he'd always respond, “Oh, you got jokes today!” Robert always had a happy-go-lucky attitude, and his presence of laughter and love will truly be missed to all who knew him.

Robert is survived by his children, Tiffany (Johnny) Williamson, Jayson Pesina, Robert Pesina Jr., and Miguel (Angela) Pesina; sisters, Gladys (Greg) Cruz, Mary (Juan) Silva, Inez Dunlap-Pesina, Antonia (Patrick) Vrooman, and Carmen (Denny) Moore; brothers, Mike Pesina, Greg Pesina, and Anthony Pesina; grandchildren, Ariella, Joshua, Angel, Falycia, Ava, Charlie, Sebastian, Alex, Justin, and Chase; and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, parents, daughter, Heidi Pesina, nephew, Juan “Little John” Silva, mother-in-law, Aurelia Dienes, father-in-law, Michael Dienes, and sisters-in-law, Robin Pesina and Linda Heidl.

Visitation for Robert will be Friday, February 18, 2022, from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home – Oregon Chapel, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH (419) 691-6768.
